A Delhi Police officer faced suspension on Friday following the emergence of a video showing him kicking Muslims who were offering namaz on the street near Delhi's Inderlok. The incident, captured on camera, stirred widespread outrage and led to a swift response from authorities. DCP North Manoj Meena acknowledged the viral video, stating that an inquiry has been launched into the matter, ensuring that appropriate action will be taken.

The video of the policeman's actions sparked condemnation and triggered protests in the locality. Congress leader Supriya Shrinate expressed dismay, highlighting the importance of accountability within law enforcement agencies.

Congress leader Imran Pratapgarhi denounced the act of violence against individuals exercising their religious freedom. He called for legal action against the police officer involved, emphasizing the importance of upholding humanity above all else.

In the wake of the incident, further footage emerged depicting Muslims gathering in protest against the unjust treatment they endured. DCP North confirmed that the police post in charge, seen in the viral video, has been suspended immediately, with additional disciplinary measures underway.

However, amidst the outcry against the police officer's actions, there have been differing opinions on the appropriateness of offering namaz on public roads. This perspective underscores the ongoing debate over the use of public spaces for religious practices, adding complexity to discussions surrounding religious freedom and public conduct.
