Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, a letter has rocked Chhattisgarh, with a Congress official accusing another party member of financial wrongdoing. Former Mahamantri Arun Sisodia has penned a letter to Pradesh Congress President Deepak Baij, alleging that Ramgopal Agrawal and Vinod Verma colluded to embezzle 5 crore 89 lakh rupees from the party. They purportedly awarded a contract to the company Tesu Media Lab, owned by the son of Vinod Verma, without the approval of the Congress President. The BJP has seized upon these allegations to corner the Congress.

BJP spokesperson Kedar Gupta responded to the allegations of the Congress embezzling 5 crore 89 lakh rupees, stating that during Mohan Markam's tenure as Pradesh Congress President, a company from Ghaziabad was awarded a contract without his authorization. It is speculated that even the son of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel may be involved in this. Therefore, the truth must come to light. The accusations have caused a stir within the party.

It is noteworthy that this letter bomb exploded within the Congress at a time when the Lok Sabha elections loom large. The Congress has yet to announce the names of all its candidates, and this letter bomb has further intensified the internal turmoil. The Congress is already grappling with unity within the state, and this letter has only exacerbated its concerns. It is reported that the second list of Congress candidates will be released on March 19, with names like Bireesh Thakur from Kanker, Anila Bhediya, Harish Lakhma from Bastar, Deepak Baij from Sarguja, Shashi Singh from Rayagada, Jaymala Singh from Chakradharpur, and Vishnu Yadav from Bilaspur likely to feature prominently.
