For the next Lok Sabha elections, the Aam Aadmi Party has declared four of its candidates for Delhi and one for Haryana. Following today's political affairs committee (PAC) meeting of the party, a decision was made.

AAP has named-

 1. Somnath Bharti, sitting MLA from Malviya Nagar seat

2.  Kuldeep Kumar, sitting from the Kondli Assembly seat, has been named from the East Delhi

3. Sahiram, who is sitting MLA from Tughlaqabad, has been named from the South Delhi

4. Mahabal Mishra from West Delhi.

5. Sushil Gupta, to fight from Kurukshetra in Haryana.

Given that the BJP won each of Delhi's seven Lok Sabha seats in the general elections of 2014 and 2019, the AAP's call for candidates for these seats is rather significant.

Notably, a seat-sharing arrangement in Delhi was just finalized by the AAP and Congress, its ally in INDIA. As a result, AAP has announced their candidates for four seats, while Congress will announce its candidates for three seats.

In addition to Delhi, seat sharing agreements were finalized by the AAP and Congress in Haryana, Gujarat, Chandigarh, and Goa. The allies of the INDIA group were unable to agree on a seat-sharing arrangement in Punjab, where the AAP had already declared that it would run in all 13 Lok Sabha seats.

Speaking about Punjab seats, AAP's Gopal Rai earlier today said, "The names for Punjab Lok Sabha candidates (of AAP) will be made soon."
