Chhattisgarh, India: The total number of voters in Chhattisgarh stands at 2 crore 5 lakh 13 thousand 252 for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, marking a significant increase of 1.2 lakh voters compared to the assembly elections. Out of these, 1 crore 80 thousand 405 are male voters, while 1 crore 3 lakh 32 thousand 115 are female voters. Additionally, there are 2,855 voters above the age of 100, and 17 are non-resident voters.

The Election Commission has announced the dates for elections across all 11 Lok Sabha constituencies in Chhattisgarh. Among these, 6 seats are unreserved, while 4 are reserved for Scheduled Tribes and 1 for Scheduled Castes.

The elections will be conducted in three phases. Bastar Lok Sabha constituency will go to polls on April 19, followed by Kanker, Mahasamund, and Rajnandgaon constituencies on April 26. The final phase will witness elections in Surguja, Raigarh, Janjgir-Champa, Korba, Bilaspur, Durg, and Raipur constituencies on May 7.

A total of 24,229 polling stations will be set up across the state, including 900 auxiliary polling stations. Moreover, arrangements will be made for postal ballots for senior citizens and differently-abled individuals.

Chief Election Commissioner Reena Baba Saheb Kangale highlighted that voter turnout has increased by 8% compared to the 2019 elections, with a total of 15,14,013 additional voters. This surge includes an increase of 1,20,092 voters compared to the assembly elections.
