Amidst the ongoing crisis in Himachal Pradesh, Vikramaditya Singh, a key figure in the state's political landscape, held a crucial meeting with Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and KC Venugopal in Delhi. The meeting, lasting over one-and-half hours, follows a growing discord between Vikramaditya Singh and the Himachal Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

Singh, a prominent leader in Himachal Pradesh, recently extended his support to six disqualified Congress MLAs who had cross-voted in favor of the BJP during the Rajya Sabha elections. Sources reveal that during the meeting, Singh discussed the concerns raised by Congress MLAs against the state government, emphasizing the need for internal resolution.

Last week, Vikramaditya Singh stirred controversy by resigning as the Public Works Department Minister, citing alleged humiliation by the Sukhvinder Sukhu-led government. He accused the government of disregarding his late father, former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, by not allotting space for his statue on Mall Road.

While speculations circulated about Vikramaditya Singh considering defection to the BJP, he clarified that he would withhold his resignation pending a dialogue with Congress leadership. On March 1, he met with the disqualified Congress MLAs in Chandigarh.

His mother, Pratibha Singh, the Himachal Pradesh Congress unit chief, criticized the hurried decision to disqualify the rebel MLAs, stating that they merely wanted to be heard. The discontent within the Congress ranks intensified as Vikramaditya Singh removed 'Himachal Pradesh minister' from his Facebook profile on March 2, sparking rumors of his potential alignment with a new political entity. However, Singh has not officially confirmed any plans for a new party. The evolving situation in Himachal Pradesh continues to draw attention as political dynamics unfold.
